This two-part, three hour course will explore the neuro-scientific, psychological, interpersonal, and spiritual bases for how mindfulness positively impacts clinical work, as well as professional and personal well-being. The first half of the course will be psychoeducational, providing information about how mindfulness contributes to beneficial outcomes in the realm of mental health and substance use treatment while also serving as a protective factor against professional burnout. The second half will offer guided mindfulness practices, to assist in making mindfulness accessible in both professional and personal contexts.
